The Nog Inn Quiz celebrates its first year!
Yes its already been a whole year since we started our charity quizzes and what a success they have been!
We finished off the year with a bang raising over £310 for charity. This went to the Help for Heroes fund who support our wounded servicemen and women injured in current conflicts. The total amount raised for charity over the past year from the quiz nights was £1430. Thank you to everyone who has taken part for your generosity and a big thank you to Doug who writes the quizzes and entertains us as Quizmaster each month. We look forward to another year of quizical fun and games and hope to raise even more money for good causes chosen by you.

Halloween Week!
What a busy week! Firstly I'd like to say thank you to Doug and Colin for helping us out with our quiz on Thursday. This turned out to be our biggest quiz night yet with almost 60 people taking part. Together we raised over £140 for charity which went to The British Heart Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust. It was also a momentous night for 'The Flat Liners' who have been taking part and supporting our quiz nights since the beginning of the year and have finally achieved their first win! Congratulations!
Details of our 'Quiz of the Year' will be up on the website and in the pub shortly. This will be on Sunday 28th December as I think most people will be busy on Thursday 25th!
Our Halloween party was also a great success thanks to an amazing performance from Kill The Messenger which I thoroughly enjoyed even though I was stuck behind the bar all night! Great to see so many people (including the band!) getting into the 'spirit' of the occasion, dressing up and generally making fools of themselves. Pictures to follow soon on our past events page!

ABBA Night!
We prayed for the rain to stop and thankfully it did....just! In the end it was a great success with over 150 of you 'dancing queens' singing along from start to finish. A big thank you to all the people who helped out that night and to everyone who came along. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

ABBA - Tickets on Sale Now!
Yes ABBA are coming to The Nog! Keep Saturday 6th September free in your diary to see this great tribute act live in the garden. Complete with a hog roast, prize for the best fancy dress and party till late in the main bar this is a great night out and all for only £8! Get your tickets now by calling 01963 32998 or popping in and asking at the bar.
Tickets £8 in advance or £10 on the night.

Over 18's Only.
Ticket entitles you to entry after 7pm on 6th September 2008 only.
All food and beverage will need to be purchased separately, except for your first serving from the hog roast.
Possession of a ticket does not guarantee entry. Refusal of admission is reserved by the management.

Robbie Williams
Saturday was a great night with you all packing the bar out to watch Ant perform his cabaret and Robbie Williams tribute. Thank you to Ant who did a great show entertaining us all and to Linda and Ben who worked tirelessly behind the bar all night serving everyone!

A Rocking Independence Day!
Thank you to Firewall who, despite having to move into our function room at the last minute due to the weather, put on a great (and very loud!) show for us last night. A superb play list which everyone enjoyed and a great laugh too. We hope to have you back again in the near future.

Quiz Night a Big Success
A big thank you to everyone who came down for the quiz last night. It was a packed house and we managed to raise an outstanding £160 for charity! Congratrulations to first-timers the 'Rodgrove Remedials', who came 1st and had all their drinks for the night on us! Unlucky team 'F.I.I.K.', who came 2nd, it seems you have met you match at last! We hope to see you all again at the next quiz on Thursday 31st July, but book your table quick as we already only have a few tables left.

Completion of Garden and Function Room
Following the refurbishment of our beer garden and function room, we are now able to offer these areas for private events away from the main bar.
Our function room can accommodate up to 50 people for a sit-down meal, more if you are just after a buffet and your own area for a party. We have installed a fully functional bar with cider, lager and a smooth flow on tap, the back bar can then be stocked up to your own taste!

Website up and Running!
We hope you like the look of our new webpage. Our aim is to put everything you need to know about what is going on at The Nog Inn, past, present and future! From events, menus, special offers and our plans for the future. At the moment most of the site is still under construction, but we hope to be fully up and running in the near future. You can still see what events are coming up, so pop back soon to see what's on!
